Full Withdrawal From Courses
- Complete the Income Update Form and Course Load Update Form which can be located on the OSAP Processing Forms section of our website.
- Contact the National Student Loan Service Centre at 1 (888) 815-4514 to confirm your account number and to receive instructions on how to repay your OSAP funding.
- Any tuition refund that is calculated by the University of Windsor as a result of you withdrawing will be returned to the National Student Loan Service Centre and credited towards your student loan/grants.
- Read your Master Student Financial Assistance Agreement to understand the implications of withdrawing (federal grants will convert into repayable loan assistance for example)
- If transferring to another school, you will need to reapply for OSAP for the other school
- If you have repaid all or a portion of your OSAP back, you will need to contact the NSLSC to have them fax proof of repayment to our office (Fax: (519) 793-7087) so that we can post the repayment on your OSAP file at the University of Windsor to recognize the repayment so that you receive the appropriate allocation of OSAP funding at the other school
- If you do not repay any of your OSAP back, then it will be automatically adjusted in your OSAP assessment at the other school
Impact of Alternative Grading System on OSAP
- It is recognized that dropping or withdrawing from course(s) may be necessary to avoid academic standing issues. If you are receiving student financial aid, dropping or withdrawing from course(s) could have both immediate, and future financial implications. Prior to dropping or withdrawing from course(s), ensure you understand the impact to your financial aid eligibility and assessment. Contact the Student Awards and Financial Aid office via the ask.uwindsor.ca platform for further details.
