Faculty, staff, and students honoured University of Windsor faculty members who received awards in the last year at the fifth annual Celebration of Teaching Excellence on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 in the Ambassador Auditorium.
The event recognized their important contributions to the culture of teaching and learning at the University, including:
- psychology professor Jill Singleton-Jackson, winner of the Ontario Undergraduate Student Alliance Teaching Award;
- social work professor Don Leslie, winner of the Ontario Confederation of University Faculty Associations Teaching Award; and
- human kinetics professor Bob Boucher, winner of the North American Society for Sport Management Distinguished Sport Education Award, as well as an Excellence in Mentoring Award from the University of Windsor Alumni Association.
In addition to recognizing 26 honourees from six faculties, the program featured the presentation of certificates to the first graduates of the University Teaching Certificate program.
