Student Health, Counselling, and Wellness Services, in collaboration with the Food Security Action Plan Committee from the Office of the Vice-President, People, Equity, and Inclusion, are excited to announce the launch of the Canadian Campus Wellbeing Survey (CCWS) on Monday, February 10th, 2025.
What is the Canadian Campus Wellbeing Survey?
The CCWS is a tool developed by the University of British Columbia specifically for Canadian post-secondary institutions. This survey is designed to assess the mental health and wellbeing needs of students, and results will help inform related programming and service provision.
Why is this survey important?
This is our first campus wide mental health and wellbeing survey since 2019! With the CCWS, we can dive into the unique mental and physical health needs of Canadian students and explore how different regions compare. Distribution of the CCWS will allow us to compare results to other schools on a provincial and national level. This powerful tool will also allow us to incorporate student-driven data into campus wellbeing programming, service provision, and Student Mental Health Strategy development. The CCWS will be deployed on an intermittent basis to monitor student mental health and wellbeing needs into the future, while tracking changes over time.
How can I participate?
The survey is voluntary and completely confidential. In just 15-20 minutes, students can provide input on key topics such as student experience, mental health, academic achievement, physical health, help-seeking behaviors, substance use, sexual health, housing security, and food security. A unique link to this survey will be sent out to every UWindsor student via their UWindsor email account in February 2025.
Keep an eye out for an email from wellness@uwindsor.ca with the subject, “Share your feedback on Mental Health & Wellbeing at UWindsor”!
Why should I participate?
Not only are you making a meaningful difference for the University of Windsor students and the campus community, but by participating in this survey, students will be automatically entered into a prize draw, where they will have the chance to win:
- 1 of 4 $750 prizes towards tuition
- 1 of 5 $250 VISA gift cards
- 1 of 25 $25 Bookstore gift cards
Contest rules can be viewed here (sign-in with your UWindsor account username and password).
