Getting Started in UWinsite People Activities

First Time Entering UWinsite People Activities

As a new system user, follow the checklist of key activities you should perform upon entering UWinsite People.

  • Able to sign in using your Full UWin ID and account password.
  • Verify your Personal Information is accurate by selecting the tile and going through the available tiles, including Personal Details, Contact Info, your Business Title is correct within Employment Info, and Compensation. Use the < to navigate from tile to tile.
  • For staff, go into Time and Absences to:
  • View your vacation and lieu time balance. To view Select Absence Balance, and once displayed you will see your Plan Balances.
  • Log any absences that were not entered into My Attendance before the cut-off.
  • Enter 2025 vacation time in UWinsite People, eveen if you previously entered it in My Attendance. 
  • Review the vacation entitlement transition to UWinsite People
  • Get familiar with the resources and training available for UWinsite People.

Service Ticket

  • If you encounter any issues with UWinsite People, please submit a ticket. It will be routed to the appropriate person to help.
  • If there is a problem with your vacation or lieu time balance, please discuss it with your manager as they will have to submit a ticket on your behalf.

Quick Tips:

  • Use the < (back arrow) to navigate from page to page within the system when it’s available, if you use your browser’s back button you may get redirected out of the system.
  • The home icon or the University of Windsor logo will always bring you back to the homepage.
