WINDSOR, Ont. — The University of Windsor reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a culture of environmental sustainability on campus and beyond with the installation of a new dual drive, electric-steam turbine chiller — the first of its kind at a Canadian university.

WINDSOR, Ont. – To help ensure the safety of students, faculty and staff on campus, the University of Windsor’s Campus Community Police and the Windsor Police Service will conduct an emergency response training simulation on Wednesday, Aug. 9.

Windsor police will lead an emergency response training simulation at Memorial Hall from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Regular campus activities will continue as usual.

Please do not be alarmed if you see Windsor police officers on campus during this time.

WINDSOR, Ont. — Freshwater biodiversity in the Great Lakes is facing a critical threat as several species of fish and mussels are disappearing at an alarming rate.

In response to this environmental crisis, a team of dedicated researchers from the University of Windsor, along with esteemed partners, have embarked on the transformative project Application and Assessment of Recovery Actions for Species at Risk Fishes and Mussels in the Lower Great Lakes.

WINDSOR, Ont. — A trio of University of Windsor faculty have established Canada’s first research, teaching and community engagement project focused on the creation of national urban parks.

The University of Windsor National Urban Park Hub (UW-NUPH) launched on April 1 after a $1.2 million contribution from Parks Canada with match funding from the University and will be led by Healthy Headwaters Lab Director Catherine Febria, Faculty of Science Indigenous Knowledge Keeper Clint Jacobs and Centre for Cities Director Anneke Smit.
