Campus Safety

Is the University of Windsor a safe place for my student?

The University of Windsor is a friendly and safe campus where your student will feel at home.

The University has a 24-hour Special Constable Service office and numerous emergency call boxes around campus.

In addition, students can call Walk Safe, a service which provides a companion to accompany students to destinations on and around campus. Student Medical Response Service is a student-run volunteer service that responds to medical emergencies on campus. SMRS dispatches trained volunteers to provide prompt first aid and pre-hospital emergency care to students, staff, faculty and visitors.

Residence life staff are also highly trained to provide a supportive and safe environment to assist first-year students with transitional and student issues. Residence life staff are frequently the first point of contact for residence students and provide a sense of belonging and safety.
