SUBMISSION FORMATS

4.2) PDF Document

A document submission must present details of the project which is to be considered by a selection committee and may not exceed 2,000 words. Only PDF documents will be accepted. Students can choose to add graphics, tables and charts, but links to external videos or websites will not be considered.

Note: PDF must be provided when entering the contest with coverletter before closing date of February 2, 2024 at 11:59 PM (EST).

4.3) Video

A video submission must present details of the project that is to be considered by the selection committee. The video submission must be a minimum of 30 seconds to a maximum of 3 minutes in total running time and uploaded to YouTube.

Note: The link to the YouTube video must be provided when entering the contest with coverletter before closing date of February 2, 2024 at 11:59 PM (EST).

 

4.4) Website

A website submission must present details of the project that is to be considered by the selection panel. A website must include a specified “Summary Page” that includes a brief (maximum 1,000 words) summary of the project. The student or student team is responsible for acquiring the server space on which each website submission is to be hosted. If the website has restricted settings, the information required to gain access to the website must be provided. Students can choose to add graphics, tables and charts, but links to external videos or websites will not be considered.

4.5) Alternative Method of Electronic Format Submissions

Entrants who wish to submit in an alternate electronic format so must first send an e-mail to idea@uwindsor.ca to verify that it is an acceptable format. In the email please include:

  1. Cover page with all required details (refer to “Entering Contest” section of the website);
  2. An explanation (no longer than 500 words) of the format and reason why you would like to submit your project in this format; and
  3. The title of your presentation.

The Administrator will discuss the proposal and respond with approval or refusal within five (5) business days. 

4.5 a) Alternative Electronic Format

Once approved by the Administrator, each alternative electronic format Submission must meet all requirements specified and must abide by the Rules of this contest.

4.6) Disqualification of a Submission

The Administrator reserves all rights and has the sole discretion to disqualify a Submission that they believe does not conform to the spirit of the Contest; and determined at the sole discretion of the Administrator, all Submissions must be suitable for family audience viewing and must not contain any material that is libellous, obscene, profane, violates any third party intellectual property rights, including but not limited to copyrights. To enter the contest, entrants may choose to make an electronic submssion that complies with these Rules.

4.7) Accessible Formatting
