The following is a summary of the University of Windsor insurance policies and may not include all conditions and exclusions that apply.
All losses that the University of Windsor may become legally obligated to pay as damages due to the following:
- Bodily injury (injury,sickness,disease,disability,shock,mental suffering,etc.)
- Personal injury (false arrest,invasion of privacy,libel,slander, defamation or character,etc.)
- Third party property damage
- Professional and malpractice liability
This coverage applies on a worldwide basis to any officer, director, governor, employee or volunteer while acting on behalf of the University of Windsor and the coverage extends to students while participating in academic activities.
- Any liability covered under the Workers' Compensation Act
- Operation of vehicles (See Automobile Policy)
- Property owned, occupied or leased to the University of Windsor (see Property Insurance Policy)
- Medical malpractice where liability arises out of any act committed in a disturbed mental state caused by the influence of hypnotics, intoxicants or narcotics
- Employment-related practices including refusal to employ, termination of employment, demotion, reassignment, discrimination, etc.(covered under Employment Practices policy)
- Complaints or proceedings under any Human Rights Code
- Nuclear accidents
