Abstract: 

This workshop introduces participants to Django, a powerful Python web framework designed for rapid development. Attendees will learn how to set up a Django project, create views and templates, and deploy a basic portfolio web application. This hands-on session is ideal for developers looking to streamline their web development process with Django’s “DRY Principle” philosophy.

 

Workshop Outline:

Understand the core features and benefits of using Django for web development. Set up a Django project and create a basic portfolio web application. Learn to work with Django views, templates, and models. Explore Django template inheritance, object-relational model (ORM), and security features.

 

Prerequisites:

Basic understanding of Python programming.

 

Biography: 

Saran is currently a  Master of Applied Computing Student, University of Windsor Experienced in web development. Passionate about teaching and sharing knowledge in the field of computer science.
