When you contact the EAP, as part of the short initial assessment, employees will be able to indicate a preference for language, religion/spirituality, and experience/speciality (for example, Indigenous, 2SLGBTQIA+, racialized, trauma, grief, family, etc.). You will then be provided with a recommended short-list of counsellors and will be able to read additional information on their approaches to care, backgrounds, and qualifications to assist in choosing the counsellor that is right for you.
Contact the GreenShield support team (support@greenshield.ca) with the counsellor details and their team can reach out to your counsellor to discuss if they would like to join the GreenShield network. Please note that is at the discretion of the counsellor as to whether they agree to on-board on to GreenShield's platform. It may be helpful to discuss this with your counsellor in advance and share the information in the .pdf linked here. The GreenShield clinical network is always recruiting new counsellors. To enroll, the counsellor must meet the following requirements; minimum of a Master’s degree, five years of previous clinical experience, accredited by their regulatory body, and in good standing.
