Improvements to close Sunset to pedestrian traffic

Facility Services is advising the campus community that Sunset Avenue road access, as well as the pedestrian access to the West sidewalk, will be interrupted due to the new roadway, furniture pods, walkways and landscaping work taking place daily from Monday, June 29 to Monday, August 10.

Please refer to the attached plan for sidewalk access. The blue arrow indicates sidewalk access.

Andrew Allen honoured for leadership, mentoring

For demonstrating leadership in equity through his teaching initiatives in Windsor and Tanzania, as well as his work to mentor and recruit students, Andrew Allen of the Faculty of Education recently received the 2015 Mary Lou Dietz Equity Leadership Award at Kerr House.

Created by the Faculty Association’s Status of Women, Diversity and Equity Action Committee (SWDEAC), the award was named for the late head of Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminology, and celebrates individuals who demonstrate leadership through their contributions to creating an equity culture on campus.

The Council of Ontario Universities recently launched its newly designed website, showcasing the value of a university education and the extensive work of Ontario universities.

The site, which aims to be fully accessible and meets the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, will feature an updated look, more user-friendly navigation, a mobile-friendly design, and improved search functionality.
