GATAcademy is a week-long professional development event open to all current and prospective UWindsor graduate assistants (GAs) and teaching assistants (TAs).
Offering a series of interactive workshops led by experienced professionals from across the campus, GATAcademy features resources and activities relevant to both new and experienced GAs/TAs. Topics include mastering technology in the classroom, conducting effective labs and tutorials, best practices in grading and feedback, and a whole lot more!
GATAcademy 2024 will be held online from August 27-29 and each day will feature four workshops. Please note that all online workshops will be offered online through Microsoft Teams. You will be emailed the link to the virtual classroom the week before the event. There will also be two in-person workshops and a campus-wide networking event on September 4th.
Winter GATAcademy
Help get the new semester off to an informed and prepared start by attending Winter GATAcademy. Like GATAcademy that’s held in the Fall, we’ll host a variety of workshops for undergraduate and graduate teaching assistants.
