The University of Windsor's Career Development team is hosting the Lancers Care Volunteer Fair, providing students seeking volunteer positions with the opportunity to speak face-to-face with representitives from non-profit and community organizations.
Students from all programs and year levels are encouraged to come out and learn about various opportunities. If you are looking to give back to the community, volunteer your time, and gain experience, this event is a great venue for you to network and learn about available volunteer positions in the community.
Admission is FREE for students. Tips for students planning to attend: Research the organizations attending, bring copies of your resume, practice your pitch, and dress for success!

2019 Lancers Care Volunteer Fair Exhibitors
Since 1988, the ACW has evolved and diversified to address the emerging needs of our community. Our committed volunteers, peers, board and staff work very hard to offer in-reach and outreach services through both our Support Service and Needle Syringe programs. Additionally, we deliver educational presentations, workshops and or training to community members and service providers working with populations that are most vulnerable HIV and or HCV.
Our Vision is to ensure that every child in our region that needs a mentor has a mentor.
The Canadian Cancer Society is a national, community-based organization of volunteers whose mission is the eradication of cancer and the enhancement of the quality of life of people living with cancer.

Community Living Essex County, a non-profit, registered charitable organization provdies quality supports and services to people of all ages who have an intellectual disabiltiy and their families in Essex County.
The Downtown Mission exists as a Place of Sanctuary. In response to the mandate of the Gospel, through outreach we provide: food for the body, nurture for the spirit, shelter for the homeless, advocacy for the impoverished, and opportunity for human growth.
We rely on University of Windsor students to help us ignite our vision at Family Respite Services. We work alongside 1100 families who are caring for a child with a disability across Windsor and Essex County. We want to ensure we are a community where families are strong and ALL children belong. <br />

​Established in 1994, Habitat for Humanity Windsor-Essex is a non-profit, non-denominational faith-based housing organization. 100% of all administrative and fundraising costs are paid for by the operation of our ReStore.
House of Sophrosyne offers a holistic approach in treatment women for substance misues through evlidence based practices.
Housing Information Services in partnership with the United Way Centraide of Windsor-Essex offers an after school program, "Youth First", currently operating out of Catholic Central High School. Homework assistance and/or academic support including a nutritional snack, job preparation and mentoring are all components of the Youth First Program to assist in building positive relationships built on trust and respect to help youth reach their full potential.<br />

Our current program model follows the 5-year strategy of the United Way Centraide Windsor-Essex. This initiative is located within one inner-city high school; an anti-poverty strategy intended to strengthen families and create safer neighbourhoods. As a funded partner, the primary intention of our initiative is to make a difference in terms of youth's academic performance, development of relationships and ensure they make healthy nutritional choices. Youth are provided with tutoring assistance 5 days a week from one staff and a variety of University of Windsor student volunteers as well as, peer tutors who attend the high school. This program operates after school and is an opportunity for extension to student's school day and their lived lessons in school. The program is a place where newcomer/international students can practice English-speaking/conversation, develop confidence in tackling their homework and have full use of a computer library in which to work on their Individual Study Units. School supplies are provided for students in need. They are also provided with a nutritional snack donated by local food banks. <br />

To assist children, youth, and adults with learning disabilities, and those who support them, through information sharing, support, and relevant programs.
Mission Thrift Store is a not-for-profit used good reslae store. We take in donations of used goods, and use the money from reselling them to empower lives in the local community, and in communities around the world. We also reduce landfill waste by giving items a new life. All donated goods are converted into cash and invested in leadership and literacy programs in over 40 countries.
The MS Society provides services to people with multiple sclerosis and their families and funds research to find the cause and cure for this disease.
New Canadians' Centre of Excellence Inc. is a community based, direct-service agency which exists to assist, support and promote the full and equitable participation of immigrants and refugees in all aspects of social, cultural and economic life in the Windsor-Essex Region.
Ready-Set-Go, established in 1996, forms a partnership with families of young children (ages birth to six) living within the downtown core. We assist families in overcoming obstacles such as hardships associated with being newcomers to Canada, poverty, neglect, social isolation, poor health, and inadequate nutrition. Ready-Set-Go inspires parents/caregivers to build connections and celebrate their community. We share the responsibility for raising healthy, resilient children, and strengthening family well being.

RMH Windsor is the first House within a Hospital in the Canada and has been operating for over 3 years supporting families in Windsor/Essex and beyond to are dealing with having a sick child in the Hospital.

Homeless shelter providing emergency housing for woman and families for Windsor and Essex County
WECHC provides primary care, counselling services and health promotion in Windsor Essex County.
Windsor Regional Hospital is the 11th largest hospital in the Province of Ontario and the 3rd largest community teaching hospital, serving a population of about 400,000 people in Windsor and Essex County along with providing tertiary and quaternary care to thousands more.<br />
The hospital is responsible for all acute care services in Windsor and currently operates out of two campuses - the Met Campus and the Ouellette Campus. The hospital has more than 3,700 staff members, 515 physicians, and 890 volunteers. Through Windsor Regional Hospital's affiliation with the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry-Windsor Campus, there are also a number of medical school students and resident physicians working at the two campuses.
Windsor-Essex Compassion Care Community (WECCC) is a movement of 1500 plus members and more than 50 local organizations working to raise equity and improve quality of life for residents across Windsor and Essex County. WECCC provides 6 services to improve quality of life which includes advance care planning, workshops on stamping out loneliness and one to one coaching.
Youth Diversion (YD) is a not for profit charitable organization that has successfully served thousands of at-risk youth across Windsor and Essex County through its effective community-based programs since its incorporation in 1980. Using a youth perspective and research-based information, YD raises awareness about issues affecting youth on topics such as social media and it's various implications on self and others, and bullying/cyber bullying, excessive gaming and substance abuse, encouraging youth to develop skills that promote and support a positive response to self, others and the community.<br />
