Unravelling Database Complexity - Part 2 (1st Offering)

This is a hands-on workshop; students must bring laptops. 

This is the 2nd part of a 2-part workshop. If you previously registered for Part 1 (1st Offering), you were automatically registered for Part 2 (1st Offering). 

Note for MAC students only: MAC students must attend both parts to get any points (no points will be given if you only attend one).

 

Abstract: 

This workshop covers a concise recap of previous concepts, hands-on subquery practice, an introduction to Common Table Expressions (CTEs) in SQL, and an exploration of the usage of temporary tables. Participants will strengthen their SQL skills through practical exercises and real-world applications of these fundamental database concepts.

  3. Introduction to Common Table Expressions
  4. Exploring Temporary Tables in SQL

 

Prerequisites:

Basic SQL Knowledge

 

Biography: 

Atefeh is a second-year Ph.D. candidate at the University of Windsor, bringing four years of practical experience in both working with and teaching SQL Server.
