Abstract:
This workshop explores the ethical issues surrounding artificial intelligence (AI). Participants will learn about critical ethical principles like fairness, transparency, accountability, and privacy. We will discuss challenges and best practices in developing and using AI responsibly through case studies and real-world examples. The goal is to provide attendees with the knowledge and tools to ensure AI technologies are used in ways that are fair and beneficial to society.

Biography:
Shaghayegh Sadeghi is a PhD candidate at the University of Windsor, specializing in the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the pharmaceutical field. With a strong interest in graph analysis and text embedding, Shaghayegh's research focuses on leveraging AI techniques to extract valuable insights from pharmaceutical data for drug development and patient care improvement.
