(Windsor, Ont., Thursday, March 23, 2023) The University of Windsor is rubbing elbows with Division 1 schools in the United States in winning an international award for its Toldo Lancer Centre.

The National Intramural and Recreation Sport Association (NIRSA) has named the centre winner of its 2023 Outstanding Facility Award. Other winners include Texas A&M, the University of Minnesota, San Diego State, Old Dominion, Florida Gulf Coast and the University of Massachusetts who have also expanded their recreational facility offerings in the past year.

(Windsor, Ont., Tuesday, March 14, 2023) ­­ The University of Windsor is a major partner in one of five new federal research hubs set to enhance Canada’s biomanufacturing capacity and preparedness for future pandemics.

A multidisciplinary group of UWindsor researchers will contribute by extending their research expertise and taking advantage of the unique cross-border location of the Windsor-Essex region to boost the development of pathogen surveillance technologies, knowledge translation, and highly qualified personnel training.

As the industry project partner, Stellantis will provide a case scenario to participants, along with valuable feedback on learners’ capstone presentations at the end of the program.
