Dr. Morrison joined the Department of Kinesiology in July 2023. Her primary line of research focuses on the use of strategy to guide organizational efforts that support the growth and sustainability of community sport organizations. Her research bridges different perspectives related to management, leadership, social work, recreation, and leisure to contribute to current theory while also responding to critical issues facing community sport. Her professional experience in the sport industry informs her research and teaching. She was a varsity athlete in rowing and has worked in both amateur and professional sport contexts where she applied her knowledge of strategy, research, and event and volunteer management to successfully develop and implement complex projects.
