About the Course:
This four-module interactive course is designed to foster open conversations about gender norms, individual roles, and advocacy, while providing practical tools for challenging GBV and creating safer communities.
Course Goal:
To engage men and boys in understanding GBV and their role in ending it—moving from awareness to action.
Expected Outcomes:
By the end of this program, participants will:
- Gain a deeper understanding of GBV and its social impact.
- Learn how to challenge harmful gender norms that perpetuate violence.
- Develop practical strategies for intervention and advocacy.
- Feel empowered to take action in their communities and workplaces.

- Practicing safe and effective bystander intervention
2. Waiting for a Hero – Why the Change Starts with You
- Breaking the mindset of passivity & inaction
- Recognizing the power of individual responsibility
- Steps to becoming an ally & leader in GBV prevention
3. Single Steps Make the Mile – Small Actions, Big Impact
- How small, daily actions contribute to major cultural shifts
- Strategies for calling out & calling in harmful behaviors
- Creating a personal action plan for sustained advocacy
4. The Value of Advocacy – Your Voice, Your Action, Your Stand
- How advocacy changes policies, workplaces, and communities
- Developing confidence to speak out & challenge harmful narratives
- Building support networks for long-term change
