Student Testimonials - United Way’s On Track on Campus Students – Currently enrolled at UWindsor

“The On Track to Success program has been a wonderful experience for me. I am beyond grateful for the guidance and support I have received, especially from my success coach Kaila. I had previously attended the Social Service Worker program at Fanshawe College in 2020. However, after completing my first year, I made the difficult decision to withdraw due to unforeseen circumstances. In Spring of 2023, I decided I wanted to continue my education at the University of Windsor in the Social Work program. I was unsure of what the process would look like for me since I was previously at Fanshawe College, Kaila guided me through the application process to ensure my previous credits could be transferred. She even went above and beyond by providing a letter of recommendation to the University. As a result, I was able to enroll in the program and am now pursuing my BSW.

Kaila has continued to support me throughout the semester and always provides excellent resources. I strongly believe in the On Track to Success – On Campus program as university can bring many difficulties for students, yet this program provides great help to navigate these challenges. Now that I can focus on my studies, I am extremely excited to acquire the skills necessary to achieve my goal of working with the immigrant and refugee population in the future.” - 1st Year Pre-Social Work Student

“On Track has impacted me positively in many ways. To start, they are constantly helping me to improve upon my current skills, whether that be with resume support, or practicing mock interview questions ahead of a job interview. They also have a huge emphasis on financial support, which has personally saved me a bunch of stress! I’m a computer science student currently in my second year. I hope to be a game developer post graduation.”

“On Track has been so helpful to me on the journey to achieve my academic goals! When I had to go back to high school for an extra semester to upgrade, On Track was there to help me literally stay ON TRACK with my schoolwork, university applications, financial pieces and so on. I got the upgrade, and I am now an honours Criminology student who just finished up the first semester. I am loving my classes and university experience so far! On Track continues to help me through my academic journey and I will always be grateful for that!”
