American Students, Families and Alumni: How to Donate
Gifts made to the University of Windsor by alumni, American students and their families living in the US may claim income tax deductions on their US federal income tax return for gifts they make to the University of Windsor. You may make the tax deduction in the same way as donating to a university in the United States.
American Friends: How to Donate
Gifts made by organizations or individuals other than current students, alumni and their families may give to our US Foundation, the Friends of the University of Windsor. This US organization is qualified as a public charity and is exempt from federal income tax pursuant to the United States Internal Revenue Code, Sections 501(c)(3). Contributions to the Friends of the University of Windsor are deductible under section 170 of the Code.The Friends of the University of Windsor is incorporated as a non-profit corporation under the laws of the State of Michigan.
Our American friends, including organizations may donate by cheque made payable to Friends of the University of Windsor.
