On Sunday, August 18, 2024, David Palmer died peacefully in Victoria, BC. The family of David deeply mourn his passing. David was a Professor at the University of Windsor where he taught music. He was also an organist at All Saints Church in Windsor for over fifty years.
Born in Victoria BC, David was one of five children, who enjoyed singing with his father and brother at St John the Divine and Christ Church Cathedral. Here in Victoria, David was a student of Noel Smith, Graham Steed, and Richard Proudman.
David enjoyed teaching and performing, conducting choirs, duo piano playing, and accompanying instrumentalists and singers as well as playing the harpsichord and organ with musical colleagues. He loved to travel and work in the garden.
