Guidelines for Examinations, Assignments and Laboratory Reports

(These guidelines were approved by the Departmental Council on 19 Dec. 1996; updated Sep. 2003; updated revisions approved September 10, 2013)

Cheating and Plagiarism:
All instances of academic and non-academic integrity will be handled as per Senate By-law 31.

Calculators:
Students may only use calculators approved by the their instructors. Programmable calculators and calculators with infra-red transmission capability are not permitted.

Absence:
Absences will be handled as per Senate By-law 54.

Final Examinations:
A student may inspect his/her own corrected final examination.
Students who want to appeal their grade(s) must do so as described in Senate By-law 54.
