Mayo Clinic: provides a reliable source of excellent health information. There are three pages in particular that you may find useful: comprehensive guides, the symptom checker and mindfulness exercises.

Mental Health

The Canadian Coalition for Seniors' Mental Health (CCSMH): “Mental illness is not a normal part of aging. All seniors have the right and deserve to receive services and care that promotes their mental health and responds to their mental illness needs. The Canadian Coalition for Seniors' Mental Health (CCSMH) is hard at work ensuring that seniors' mental health is recognized as a key Canadian health and wellness issue.” Includes information on delirium, dementia, depression, substance abuse disorders, suicide prevention.

Canadian Mental Health Association Windsor Essex County: “Mental health is not only the avoidance of serious mental illness. Your mental health is affected by numerous factors from your daily life, including the stress of balancing work with your health and relationships. In this section you will find resources to help you stay mentally fit and healthy.” Information and resources on a variety of mental health issues.

Dementia Care

Alzheimer’s Society of Windsor Essex: Information, resources, supports and research on Alzheimer’s Disease and other dementias.

Cancer Care

Windsor Regional Hospital Cancer Program: Information and resources on local cancer program.

Cancer Care Ontario: Cancer Care Ontario is the Ontario government’s principal cancer advisor. “We equip health professionals, organizations and policymakers with the most up-to-date cancer knowledge and tools to prevent cancer and deliver high-quality patient care.” This site includes information on types of cancer, treatments, guidelines, and resources.
