We have closed the Winter 2023 application for residence as we had far more applications than available spaces for Winter 2023.
Students who do not receive a room assignment will be placed on a "waitlist”. Students who wish to cancel their application, will need to submit a cancellation form at www.uwindsor.ca/residence under Forms and Documents.
Before Starting the Application Process...
- Confirm your offer of admission.
- Make sure you have extended your Uwin Account. For instructions, click here at Extending UWin Account (teamdynamix.com). (Be sure to type in 'uwinid@uwindsor.ca', not just 'uwinid'.)
- New UWinIDs are uploaded into the University system in the early morning, so you may need to wait 24 hours, or until the next day, to go back into the application.

Completing the application - Confirm and Submit
To submit your Winter 2023 application you will need to click `Confirm and Submit' button
Once you have been assigned a room, you will select your meal plan and optional textbook plan.
- For the Winter 2023 application, students will not be able to select a building preference in winter, as room assignments are based on availability
Undergraduate – 1st year coming directly from high school
- Students will be assigned to a single room
- Upon receipt of a room assignment, the next step is to pay your residence of $475 is payable only by credit card. Deposits are credited to Residence Fees which will be applied to your student account Our Cancellation policy can be viewed at Cancellations/Withdrawals
First year buildings (students can select their building preference, however, it is not guaranteed, as building/room type will be assigned based on availability.)
- Alumni Hall - Single bedroom in a two-bedrom suite; First-Year students coming directly from high school, and Beyond First-Year students could be assigned to this building
- Cartier Hall - double bedroom; First-Year students coming directly from high school could be assigned to this building
- Laurier Hall - double bedroom, First-Year students coming directly from high school could be assigned to this building - single bedroom, Beyond First-Year students could be assigned to this building
