Arrival – Early
Housing and Residence Life does not allow early arrivals for the summer term unless it is required by the student’s academic program. If your program requires you to arrive early, please email us and provide us with the program name so we can verify.
Arrival - Late
Students who will be arriving after their scheduled move-in date will need to submit a Late Arrival Request Form. To request a Late Arrival, complete the Late Arrival Request Form.
This form is used if you want to cancel your residence room assignment before the scheduled move-in date. Please read the criteria below prior to completing this form to ensure you meet the requirements.
When you submitted your residence application you agreed to the terms of the Residence and Meal Plan Agreement. To be approved for a cancellation request you must meet one of the requirements listed below, as approved by Housing and Residence Life:
- An applicant may submit a request to cancel their residence application up until 5 days after receiving their room assignment, as per the Application Cancellation Policy
- Resident withdraws academically or is required to withdraw from the University. A Resident who has withdrawn and subsequently re-registers prior to the termination date of the agreement will be responsible for and will pay the full Residence amount owing to their termination date as per the Residence and Meal Plan Agreement - Early Terminination of Agreement section
- Resident is graduating, going on exchange, was in Canada for a Fall term exchange or has co-op placement outside of Windsor-Essex as per the Residence and Meal Plan Agreement - Early Termination of Agreement section
If you wish to cancel your residence room assignment before the scheduled move-in date, you must complete the Cancellation Request Form.

- To request an extension or stayover for the December End of Term, complete the Extension Form
- Deadline to submit an extension request is November 29, 2024
- To request an appeal, you must complete the Request for Appeal Form.
