Extension April End of Term request form can be accessed by logging into the StarRez Portal (starrezhousing.com)
- Deadline Date: March 28, 2025 at 4:00pm
- Approved or Denied emails will be sent to your UWin email address
Extension Fee information
- Non-Academic extension $50/day
- Academic extension $25/day
- Summer Move-overs $25/day
- Late extension application $100
If you are found living in residence without an approved extension you will be charged a $125 fine + the applicable extension fee.
MOVE OUT PROCEDURES

When you are ready to check out of your room, Express Check Out Envelopes are available for returning keys.

These envelopes can be found in the lobby of your building in the black mailbox by the student mailboxes.

Fill out the information required and place your key(s) inside the envelope.

Then place the envelope in the slot below the mailboxes (Laurier Hall the slot is on the counter area)
- Charges WILL APPLY for keys not returned. Do NOT leave your keys in your room.

All students are required to check out of their residence room no later than 24 hours after your last exam or by April 21, 2025 (end of contract of date), whichever comes first

Those who have submitted an Extension Request form may sign out according to their approved final date

There will be a $125 fine for students who have not vacated their room by their move-out date

Please contact resservices@uwindsor.ca to confirm your move-out date if you are unsure.

Items left behind are assumed left to be donated. Charges may apply for removal of items.

Residence does not provide on-site storage.

Students who are returning to residence in September 2024 will need to contact a local storage facility.

Students need to have their mail forwarded, it will not be held.

Packages will be held for two weeks and then returned to sender.

Empty the garbage and recycling containers

Empty and clean your refrigerator, DO NOT UNPLUG!

Carefully, remove tape form ceilings, walls and doors

Return furniture to the original position

Close your windows and LOCK YOUR DOOR!
