STRAC Affiliation Questionnaire

This questionnaire is designed to help you determine whether or not you are affiliated to, or receiving funding or in-kind support from, a Named Research Organization as per the Policy on Sensitive Technology Research and Affiliations of Concern (STRAC).

How to use this Questionnaire

If you answer YES to any of the questions in this questionnaire, you must terminate the affiliation and/or funding/in-kind support prior to applying for a grant that aims to advance a Sensitive Technology Research Area as defined by the Sensitive Technology Research Areas List.

Please note: For the purposes of the Policy, co-publishing an article with an individual affiliated with, in receipt of funding from, or in-kind support from a Named Research Organization does not mean that you are also affiliated with that institution. Affiliations are not transferable in this manner. Similarly, knowing or having had past working relationships with other individuals who may be affiliated with a Named Research Organization also does not mean that you are affiliated with a Named Research Organization. Questionable Affiliation Found

Based on your responses indicated in the STRAC Affiliation Questionnaire, you are immediately required to terminate any affiliations with people at Named Research Organizations. As of right now, you are not eligible to apply for any tri-agency funding opportunities based on the Tri-Agency Research Security Guidelines.

No Questionable Affiliations

Based on your responses indicated in the STRAC Affiliation Questionnaire, you are okay to proceed as you are eligible to apply for any tri-agency funding opportunities based on the Tri-Agency Research Security Guidelines.
