WINDSOR, Ont. — Dwight Duncan, a highly respected leader locally, provincially and nationally, has been named the University’s ninth Chancellor. A lifelong resident of the Windsor-Essex region, Duncan is an alumnus of the University, holding two earned degrees and one honorary doctorate. He will be officially installed during the Spring 2025 Convocation.

CHATHAM, Ont. – The University of Windsor and the Municipality of Chatham-Kent have officially launched a strategic partnership that will drive regional innovation and support sustainable growth through enhanced educational opportunities and collaborative research.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed today by representatives from both institutions, formalizing a commitment to address community needs, create meaningful learning experiences, and foster economic resilience across Chatham-Kent.

UPDATED, Nov. 19 at 8:30 a.m. — Power and Internet access have been restored at the University of Windsor, and operations will resume as usual.

The Toldo Lancer Centre, Leddy Library, and CAW Student Centre will reopen during regular hours. Classes, exams, and winter registration will proceed as scheduled. Students affected by Monday's class cancellations or exam postponements are encouraged to contact their instructors directly.

By analyzing environmental samples from key bird congregation areas, the team aims to monitor the levels and types of infections, helping to prepare for potential spillover into livestock and humans.
