Garett holds a BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of British Columbia and an MA in Philosophy from the University of Windsor. His research interests are primarily focused on Animal Ethics and the representation of nonhuman animals in Canadian political structures. While studying at the University of Windsor, Garett received an award from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) for his research on scientific animal use in the Canadian context. He is currently a Policy and Research Coordinator with Humane Canada.
