Concerto Gala 2017, on Sunday, March 26, 2017, 7:30 pm, Heritage Auditorium, celebrates the many unique contributions the School of Creative Arts ( SoCA ) and the University of Windsor have made to Music in the Windsor community. The uniqueness of this concert will be the performance of piano concerti movements by ten talented young pianists. Dr. Greg Butler and the students of the Butler Piano Studio have been associated with the School of Music, SoCA and the University of Windsor for over forty years. Many of Dr. Butler’s private students have been recruited to SoCA and have gone on to exceptional graduate schools like Eastman, Juilliard, Toronto, Michigan, Manhattan and McGill. Several, throughout the world, are enjoying distinguished teaching and performing careers. This concert highlights piano at SoCA, and will delight and dazzle in its presentation of beauty and pianistic virtuosity.
