The Royal Society of Canada (RSC) announced today that they will honour Windsor Law Professor David Tanovich, as a Fellow at its induction and awards ceremony November 24th.
Tanovich is one of 89 new Fellows that the Royal Society of Canada has elected for 2017.

Windsor Law is pleased to welcome Sukanya Pillay and Patrícia Galvão Ferreira to the Faculty as Law Foundation of Ontario Scholars for 2017-2018.
Pillay, a graduate of Windsor Law (‘90) and former faculty member (2002-2007), is an international human rights lawyer with expertise in Canadian constitutional law, civil liberties, trade and development.

Britney DeCosta made faculty history last month as the first student to defend their LLM at Windsor Law.
DeCosta, who graduated with a joint MSW/JD in 2016, was one of four LLM students in the first cohort that started in the fall of 2016.

Windsor Law alum, Bilal Khan ‘08, is recognized on an impressive list of individuals being honoured as Canada’s 2017 Top 40 Under 40 by Business News Network (BNN).
The award, established in 1995 by Caldwell Partners, recognizes young Canadian business leaders, innovators and visionaries for their outstanding achievements. Khan was selected among hundreds of candidates who were nominated for their achievements in business.

Canadian Lawyer Magazine has recognized Windsor Law Professor, Julie Macfarlane, as one of Canada’s Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers for 2017.
The list, now in its eighth year, is assembled annually with help from the law community to recognize legal professionals who have made outstanding contributions to the profession in the last 18 months. Over 200 nominations were received for the 2017 list and nearly 10,000 people voted.
