Study Permit Extension Procedures
- Attend one of the study permit extension workshops
- Make an appointment on mysuccess with our International Student Advisor and learn how to apply for study permit extension
- Gather the academic documents from Registrar Office (CELD for ELIP students)
- Gather financial documents from banks, parents and sponsors Prepare other supporting documents, like explanation letter, e-medical receipt, etc.
- Create a MYCIC account Fill out online questionnaires and application form(IMM 5709) (Templates are available at ISC)
- Scan all the supporting documents
- Make an appointment on mysuccess with our International Student Advisor to review the application package
- Upload application forms and supporting documents
- Pay & submit the application
- Save a copy of the application form(IMM 5709) and supporting documents you submitted
- Save a copy of your application confirmation
- Scan the new study permit and send it to ISC@uwindsor.ca
- Contact IRCC call centre (1-888-242-2100) for the application updates if it takes longer than regular processing time
- Make an appointment on mysuccess with our International Student Advisor if application is rejected or additional documents are required
