The VentureU Bootcamp is a five-day program that aims to transform 100 students into trailblazing innovators and problem-solving leaders. This unique program offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with peers, develop essential business skills, broaden your entrepreneurial mindset, and compete to win one of two $5,000 cash prizes. VentureU is more than just a program – it’s a journey into the world of entrepreneurship and innovation, where you learn by doing. Throughout the program, your team will collaborate to tackle a real-world problem, craft an innovative solution, and create a compelling business pitch. Along the way, you’ll strengthen essential skills like problem-solving, creative thinking, teamwork, and communication. By the end, you’ll have built the confidence to take on whatever comes next.
How it works:
- No need to form a team—we’ve got it covered. All participants will be strategically matched with peers who bring diverse skills and perspectives.
- Each team will be given a challenge and must collaboratively create an innovative solution.
- Throughout the program, teams will participate in expert-led workshops, interactive learning sessions, and hands-on activities designed to help you test your ideas, identify your target customers, and communicate the value of your solution like a pro.
- With ongoing guidance from experienced industry mentors and business professionals, teams will have the support needed to elevate their strategies.
- On the final day, teams will present their innovative solutions to a panel of community leaders in a high-stakes pitch competition for the chance to win one of two $5,000 top prizes.
This bootcamp runs during the Winter 2025 Reading Week. All participants must be available Tuesday, February 18 to Saturday, February 22 from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm.
