PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The purpose of this position is to enhance campus awareness of programs, services, events, and priorities within the Office of Student Experience by working with the various units that fall within the Student Experience portfolio, and all departments/ faculties across campus, by developing and executing a comprehensive communication and marketing strategy. This includes the development of high quality and consistent digital, print, social media communications content, and email marketing campaigns, while also enhancing the online website infrastructure to magnify the impact and utilization of various student experience programs and initiatives.


ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally in a related field such as Communications or Marketing or equivalent experience as determined by the department
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing communications products (print, web, social media)
  • Experience in using a variety of communication and marketing products targeting various internal and external audiences 
  • Ability to update and maintain websites using web platform software 
  • Demonstrated experience developing marketing strategies 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including exceptional writing skills 
  • Competency with commonly used internet, communication and related computer applications including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, One Drive and Excel, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. 
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively with stakeholders 
  • Experience planning and coordinating events, including budgeting, logistics, ensuring health and safety compliance, registration, etc.
  • Experience using graphic design programs to create and design various marketing materials, including print and digital
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and diplomacy 
  • Ability to cope with a demanding workload while adhering to deadlines 
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies, tools and processes
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including travel and participation in off-campus activities 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience using University of Windsor IT systems and applications (e.g. Drupal, Centresuite, Media Valet, Qualtrics, UWin Engage, Canva, Hootsuite, Constant Contact or similar program)

HOURS OF WORK:              

Monday to Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm


 

Rate of Pay: 
Classification "V" per Schedule A of the Collective Agreement
