Health and Wellness Reminders;

Fall & winter are a time to keep in mind best practices for preventing illnesses. Members of the University community all have a responsibility to mitigate the risk of spreading illness in the workplace.

Reminders for Illness prevention:

Employee Responsibilities:

  • If you are ill and potentially contagious, stay home and report this to your Supervisor without delay and seek medical care if required.
  • Employees are to follow the Ontario guidelines regarding staying home when ill and complete the self-assessment found here: https://www.ontario.ca/self-assessment/
  • The employee will confirm with their Supervisor the instructions for their return to work per the self-assessment above (e.g. isolation, masking, etc.). 
  • When symptoms are improving and you are able to return to campus, wash your hands frequently and follow guidance from the Ontario guidelines, above.
  • Consider the resources available to you through Canada Life, including the Employee Family Assistance Program and Workplace Strategies for Mental Health:
