Academic Misconduct means any actions by a student that gives the student an unearned advantage in matters affecting his/her academic standing. This includes plagiarism.
The process regarding allegations of academic misconduct generally involves three levels:
- Level 1: Course Instructor
- Level 2: Department Head/School Director
- Level 3: Associate Dean, Student Experience and Interdisciplinary Studies
Only the Associate Dean, Student Experience and Interdisciplinary can impose sanctions.
Policies relating to Academic Integrity and Misconduct are outlined in Senate Bylaw 31 and the Student Code of Conduct.
