Welcome to the Office of the Associate Dean, Academic & Student Success, in the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences Faculty (FAHSS)

What we do:

  • Approving final grades at the end of the each semester. 
  • Reviewing course overload, course exceptions, late voluntary withdrawals, course repetitions, grade appeals and aegrotat standing. 
  • Reviewing applications for undergraduate program changes for those on academic probation.
  • Administering and coordinating the FAHSS student support initiatives and programs. 
  • Assisting first year FAHSS students with their transition from high school to university. 
  • Monitoring the academic progress of first-year students. 
  • Advising students about academic regulations, requirements, and procedures. 
  • Auditing academic degrees to track student's progress towards graduation.
  • Reviewing the academic standing of all FAHSS students. 
  • Chairing the Undergraduate Academic Standing Committee and Academic Appeals Committee. 
  • Providing education and resources to help promote student success.
