Welcome to the Office of the Associate Dean, Academic & Student Success, in the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences Faculty (FAHSS)
What we do:
- Approving final grades at the end of the each semester.
- Reviewing course overload, course exceptions, late voluntary withdrawals, course repetitions, grade appeals and aegrotat standing.
- Reviewing applications for undergraduate program changes for those on academic probation.
- Administering and coordinating the FAHSS student support initiatives and programs.
- Assisting first year FAHSS students with their transition from high school to university.
- Monitoring the academic progress of first-year students.
- Advising students about academic regulations, requirements, and procedures.
- Auditing academic degrees to track student's progress towards graduation.
- Reviewing the academic standing of all FAHSS students.
- Chairing the Undergraduate Academic Standing Committee and Academic Appeals Committee.
- Providing education and resources to help promote student success.
