Go Code Girl

Calling all aspiring engineers from grades 7 to 11! Join us on Saturday, March 23rd from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm, for a thrilling day of programming and creativity at UWindsor’s annual GoCodeGirl event, sponsored by the Ontario Network of Women in Engineering (ONWiE). Dive into the world of engineering with hands-on activities, from exploring hardware essentials like resistors and LEDs, to crafting your own Arduino-powered games like a predictive Magic 8 Ball, digital piano and Simon Says. Guided by mentors, you'll learn the basics of programming and circuit simulation through TinkerCAD and discover real-life applications of Electrical and Computer Engineering. This event will be held in-person at the University of Windsor’s Ed Lumley Centre for Engineering Innovation (CEI), Room 2105. No previous coding experience is required and participants do not need to bring a laptop or computer.
