This short video offers a teacher-to-teacher analysis of Generative AI as a category of tools, overviewing strengths, weaknesses, and concerns from the perspectives of pre-service K-12 teachers AND faculty across various disciplines.
ChatGPT, Midjourney, DALL-E, Bing, Jenni AI and Diffit are just some of the growing number of Generative AI (GenAI) tools available for students, teachers, and members of the public, in addition to those now baked into day-to-day Microsoft and Google services. In this video, we overview how GenAI works, the concerns that educators from different disciplines have about it, and the ways it flattens the relationship between assignments and learning in the classroom. Watch to understand more about what Generative AI means for contemporary learning, both in its possibilities and the problems it poses.
