AQ Courses for Teachers

Additional Qualifications (AQ) Courses are accredited programs designed for teachers to enhance their qualifications in specific teaching divisions or subject areas. These courses are recognized by the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) and can be added to a teacher's Certificate of Qualification, which is considered by school boards for hiring decisions.

UWindsor offers over 80 online AQ, ABQ and PQP courses to help you achieve your goals as an educator!

Before you Register

Make sure that you have reviewed the prerequisites for the course(s) in which you are interested. If you register for a course and then are forced to withdraw due to not possessing the proper prerequisites, you will still be subject to the $100 non-refundable administration fee.

Pre-assessment of Eligibility: If you are interested in the programme and want to know if you are eligible to enroll, the Faculty of Education will pre-assess you.  Please see the deadline dates to submit the request.  It is preferred that an online application be submitted.  If you have difficulty with the application, you can email your documents to aq@uwindsor.ca.
