A Career and Community Fair, March 31 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Vanier Hall’s Katzman Lounge, is aimed at introducing international and French-speaking students to employment and other opportunities.
“We will have not only HR personnel coming to recruit potential employees, but we have also invited different organizations to deliver presentations about employment, citizenship and settlement services,” says organizer WinShi Wong.
A conference on the UWindsor campus November 8 will focus on the creative spark.

The Marketplace food court in the CAW Student Centre will serve a multicultural menu this week, February 11 to 14, in observance of the Celebration of Nations.
Monday’s lunch is Mexican, featuring chorizo-stuffed mushroom caps, taquitos with marinated chicken and honey chipotle sauce, vegetarian quesadillas with guacamole, and pescado with lime pico de gallo.
Dinner Monday is Chinese and will offer pepper steak, chicken chow mein, a vegetarian stir-fry, and sweet and sour chicken.
Samosas proved popular with students and staff and sold out very quickly, say the organizers of a sale in the CAW Student Centre Commons on Thursday.
Volunteer International Students Assistance (VISA) sold the delicious vegetable pastries with a tamarind sauce garnish to raise money for its social activities.
“We wanted to do something open on campus to promote the group to all students,” says Kathyani Parasram, the organization’s events coordinator. “We felt it would be great to do so by selling food that everybody would enjoy.”
