The Head Start orientation program will give incoming students an opportunity to learn about the campus community, says organizer Laura Prada, student development and support transition services intern in the Educational Development Centre.
“From June 4 to 11, students will be visiting the UWindsor campus to meet their professors, register for courses, join a campus tour, and have the chance to win a $500 award daily,” she says.

The annual GEM Awards luncheon recognized four individuals nominated by colleagues and students for providing exceptional service.
December 18 marked the last day of exams of the fall 2012 semester at the University of Windsor.
The school’s Skills to Enhance Personal Success (STEPS) program aided in the preparation for final exams through group sessions that introduced practical methods to help students improve their learning and study skills.
“The top two sessions would be those on test anxiety and multiple choice exams,” said Laura Prada, student development and support transition services intern.
The Educational Development Centre will host Winter Orientation for both full-time and part-time students who will be attending the University in the upcoming 2013 winter semester.
The orientation will be held in the Ambassador Auditorium, CAW Student Centre, from noon to 4 p.m. on Monday, January 7.

A team from the UWindsor student affairs office gave a new meaning to serving students this week—cooking and serving dinner to 80 hungry patrons at Assumption University on Monday.
