The Pre-Law Students’ Society has an unusual attraction for its gala this Thursday, January 17: an auction that puts up time job shadowing a legal professional.
“Students will have an opportunity to learn about various professions in law directly from the experts,” says the society’s president Andrew Moukled, a second-year business student.
Winning bidders will earn the right to shadow a subject through the workday, and to share a meal at a local restaurant.
Richard Peddie took up his new appointment as leader-in-residence at the Odette School of Business with a morning address to a packed auditorium Wednesday.
Peddie – a UWindsor grad (BComm 1970, honorary LLD 2001) and recently-retired president of Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment – spoke to his vision of producing business leaders of the future. He peppered his talk with stories from his career spanning three decades of senior executive roles in some of Canada’s most prominent organizations.
