Library staff members greeted students today, April 14, with delicious, fresh cookies and coffee, as a simple expression of appreciation.
“ We hold the Students’ Appreciation Day to simply let them know how much we appreciate them.” said Fay Kennedy, librarian assistant.
Students walking into the library had a look of surprize, followed by a big smile on their faces “I think this is great, it helps student forget how stressed they are for a while, and coffee sure helps!” said Phil Babbey and French student Dawn Wisniewski
Yousef Beiraghder, geophysicist physics Phd students, enjoyed this morning greeting, he found it “ energetic and would help him focus on studying.”
The Students’ Appreciation Day is funded by book sales the library organizes twice a year, and the books are sold at affordable prices to all.
