Food Services will celebrate the start of Hanukkah, the Jewish Festival of Lights, with some traditional foods today in the CAW Student Centre’s Marketplace.
This afternoon, the outlet will serve the potato pancakes, latkes, and the jelly doughnuts, sufganiyot.
The fried foods symbolize the one day’s worth of oil that burned in the temple candelabra for eight days in what celebrants believe was a miracle.
