Comforting dishes on menu for Toldo food outlet

Patrons of the food services outlet in the Toldo Health Education Centre will notice some changes to the lunch menu starting today.

The wintry weather is bringing with it home-style comfort foods on a weekly rotation:

  • Monday, perogies with sour cream, bacon, onions and a side
  • Tuesday, macaroni and cheese with garlic toast
  • Wednesday, chicken pot pie with mashed potatoes and gravy
  • Thursday, meat lasagna
  • Friday, cabbage rolls with mashed potatoes

Marketplace adding low-sodium soup to daily choices

The Marketplace food service outlet in the CAW Student Centre will offer customers a low-sodium soup—just 480 mg per cup—every day.

The rotation will feature a number of favourite varieties, including harvest vegetable, hearty chicken noodle, creamy potato and leek, lasagna soup with beef, traditional minestrone, and country vegetable beef and barley.

Each day’s choices will continue to include one cream-based, one broth-based, and one vegetarian soup.
