Marketplace menu to celebrate Hindu festival of lights

The CAW Student Centre’s Marketplace food outlet will offer a special menu Tuesday, November 5, in observance of Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights.

The Hotline station will serve a special sampler platter, called a thali, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 7 p.m. Featured dishes include:

  • lentil dahl
  • chana masala
  • basmati rice
  • raita
  • pappadums
  • gulab jamun
  • and choice of butter chicken, halal curry beef or vegetarian paneer.

The vegetarian platter costs $8.99 and the meat platters are $9.99. Also available are samosas with dipping sauce and side dish, two for $6.89.

Hotline drink special runs all week

Food Services is also offering a deal on drinks. Patrons who buy any meal from the Hotline station can add a fountain soft drink for 99 cents. This offer applies November 4 to 10.
