The launch last week of two new UWinsite services marks a major milestone in the campus-wide enterprise resource planning project, says its director, Joan Dalton.
UWinsite Engage, a marketing automation platform, enables sophisticated email marketing, advanced segmentation, forms, event registration, and digital body language tracking.
UWinsite Service, a customer service platform, provides a cross-channel contact centre, knowledge management, as well as interactive web service to assist with providing information and responding to inquiries in a timely, accurate, and seamless manner.
“These two components of the overall ERP system provide us as a University community with tools to support interactions with our constituents that not only meet their needs and expectations, but exceed them,” Dalton says.
The University is taking an incremental approach to the deployment of these new technologies. They are first being introduced in Alumni and Donor Communications, Institutional Analysis, Office of the Registrar, Public Affairs and Communications, Strategic Enrolment Management, and Student Recruitment (domestic and international).
“We have made a deliberate decision to walk before we try to run,” says Chris Busch, acting associate vice-president, enrolment management, and lead of the UWinsite Engage and UWinsite Service Implementation Team. “We expect that as we integrate UWinsite Engage and UWinsite Service into our operations, new and creative ways to use the platforms will be found and their use on campus will expand.”
The implementation of UWinsite Engage and UWinsite Service represents a tremendous amount of collaboration.
“From the discovery phase through testing, partners from across campus have shared their expertise and time with our implementation team,” says Busch. “The launch of UWinsite Engage and UWinsite Service would not have be possible without the dedication and hard work of everyone involved.”
The introduction of UWinsite Engage and UWinsite Service follows the launch to UWinsite Finance earlier this year. UWinsite Student, the final piece of the UWinsite project, is scheduled to go live November 26, 2018.
