Lunchtime fitness classes have returned to main campus with a bonus addition: Yoga with Coco.
“We listened to your feedback,” says Mike McMahon, assistant fitness and sport conditioning co-ordinator for Lancer Recreation. “We heard loud and clear that people wanted yoga classes back on main campus.”
The one-hour classes run from noon in the Education Gym, located between the University Computer Centre and the CAW Student Centre:
- Tuesdays — Fab, Fit, and Fun with Giovanna Abraham
Target your entire body with yoga and Pilates fusion movements that will leave you toned, sculpted, and strong. - Wednesdays — Yoga Mid-day Release with Nicole Daignault
Enjoy a moderate-to-low-intensity session, including breathing exercises to relax and balance the nervous system, meditation to still the mind, and deep relaxation to rest the body. - Thursdays — Full Body Fit with Giovanna Abraham
Grab your weights and come get stronger, more toned, and more confident during our sculpt class. - Fridays — Yoga Friday Vibes with Nicole Daignault
Stronger options will be explored which bring the level of intensity up, helping to purge the week’s stress and toxins. Modifications are always offered to include all levels. Proper breathing and proper relaxation will always be included.
“The best way to get involved is to purchase our All-Class Pass priced at $99 for the semester,” McMahon says. “That cost is pro-rated so if you’re not ready to start just yet, don’t worry. You only pay for the weeks you can use.”
The All-Class Pass also provides full access to Lancer Recreation classes held in the Toldo Lancer Centre. Click here to purchase online. Once you have your pass, register for classes through the GoLancers app.
