Therapy for Parkinson’s disease subject of lecture

A UWindsor kinesiology grad will be back at her alma mater Friday to deliver a free public lecture entitled “Parkinson’s Disease: Exploring a Novel Therapy for Everyday Challenges.”

Lesley Brown (MSc 1991), now a professor of kinesiology and associate vice-president, research, at the University of Lethbridge, will begin her presentation at noon February 7 in room 145, Human Kinetics Building.

Dr. Brown’s research program addresses issues relevant to balance and fall prevention among the elderly and people with Parkinson’s disease. She has received funding support from Alberta Innovates Health Solutions, Canada Foundation for Innovation, Canadian Institutes of Health Research, Natural Sciences and Engineering Council and many medical foundation grants.
